What to expect

Merchy Christmas is an in-person merch market where Irish Independent musicians sell their stuff directly to you—no middleman, no markup, just great music merch and the best people. Now in its sixth year, we're taking over The Grand Social for a full weekend of shopping, live music, raffles, and festive mischief.

Entry is free. We're asking for a suggested donation of €6 on the door, split between Dublin Simon Community and The Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF). Cash or card accepted. Every cent of profit goes to the people who need it.

how it all started

Merchy Christmas started in 2020 during the Christmas lockdown. Saint Sister and their manager Conor Cusack were brainstorming ways to connect with fans and support the community during a truly bizarre year. The idea? A communal merch stall meets Christmas market. Naff decorations encouraged.

Working with Keiron Black and the legends at The Grand Social, they pulled together a two-day event that was part market, part gig, part fundraiser—and it was a hit. 2021 saw it return in full force, raising funds for Irish artists and tackling homelessness in Dublin.

Now in its sixth year, Merchy Christmas has become a proper fixture on the Dublin calendar. Last year we raised over €18,000 for charity. This year we're aiming to beat that.
